Job Injuries

Oklahoma law requires most employers to carry workers’ compensation insurance.  The purpose of workers’ compensation is to take care of a worker who is injured on the job, regardless of fault.  In many cases, an injured worker is entitled to receive weekly payments if he is off work due to such injury.  Additionally, an injured worker is entitled to receive medical care to treat on-the-job injuries.  Finally, most injured workers can receive payment for any permanent disabilities caused by the on-the-job injury.

If you are hurt on the job, you need an attorney.  Frequently, employers or employers’ insurance companies try to discourage injured workers from filing workers’ compensation claims, or from hiring an attorney once a claim has been filed.  However, if you are hurt while on the job, you are entitled to all of the benefits that the State of Oklahoma’s laws allow.  Once you file a workers’ compensation claim, you will need an attorney to represent your interests against your employers’ insurance company.

At Lloyd & Lloyd, we have decades of experience representing hundreds of clients who were hurt on the job.  Give us a call at 918.246.0200 or fill out an online form for a free consultation
